Grants

The Parkinson Foundation of NWO (PFNWO) funds programs that make an impact in the local PD communities. We aim to fund programs that are impactful, sustainable and measurable. Our three focus areas are:

  1. Service for diverse and underserved populations
  2. Initiatives that reach the newly diagnosed
  3. Programs that address wellness/exercise and research

Your Grant Request should include a budget, demonstrate the need and sustainability of your program/service and explain what key performance indicators will be used.

It is PFNWO’s mission to provide support to those affected with Parkinson’s Disease within the local community. We have assisted with approved expenditures for the Parkinson Community in various ways including, but not limited to, the purchase of therapy equipment, Delay the Disease classes, support groups, educational classes, professional certification programs for therapists, and medical research.

Grant requests will be accepted via mail or email and will be reviewed for approval by our board of directors at a board meeting. Board meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month. Grant applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision following the meeting at which they are reviewed.
